Addictive foods are harmful to health

Nicotine, alcohol and caffeine are quite strong stimulants found in food, which are not good for health if consumed in large quantities.

Some foods can make people addicted to the point of eating uncontrollably and harming the body. Here are five things that can easily put you in this situation, according to  Sohu.

Chocolate

When you eat sweet and fatty foods, your brain releases serotonin, a hormone that helps reduce boredom. Some types of chocolate also create a similar “high” feeling when using stimulants.

However, eating too much chocolate can lead to eating disorders, emotional disorders, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

French fries

French fries are a favorite of many people, but they are not healthy. It’s high in sugar, salt, and fat and especially contains acrylamide, a known carcinogen found in cooked starchy foods.

Cream

Ice cream is an addictive food, especially for young children. Eating too much ice cream not only reduces cravings for other foods, but also leads to tooth decay and overweight.

Betel and areca

Areca berries contain quite strong stimulants, helping to keep the mind awake. Eating betel nut is easy to become a hard habit to break. Taiwanese people even treat betel nut like chewing gum.

According to the International Organization for Research on Cancer, areca nut and lime leaves in betel nut are classified as possible carcinogens.

The coffee

Coffee is a stimulant familiar to everyone. Thanks to its caffeine content, it not only helps the brain stay awake, stimulates the nerves but also causes addiction. Absorbing too much caffeine causes restlessness, muscle tremors, you should only drink in moderation and absolutely do not drink on an empty stomach.
